FHOK derives its success in community mobilization from the strong support of a committed body of volunteers, who apart from founding the Organization, have continued to offer invaluable contribution over the years. FHOK volunteers are people from all types of professions, with a commitment to give resources to facilitate in the achievement of the Organization’s goals. They freely contribute their skills, alongside staff to implement project activities within their communities. They also advocate on various sexual and reproductive health issues to improve the quality of life in the communities. The ever increasing sexual and reproductive health problems, including sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, illegal abortions, high infant mortality rate, escalating adolescent problems and an increasing population, all point at the need to double our efforts in volunteerism for this noble cause.
