Nairobi Youth Centre is a youth friendly centre located in Eastleigh 1st Avenue ,Second Street opposite Mama Fatuma children’s home. The centre begun in 1986 with the objective of responding to the sexual and reproductive health needs of young people through appropriate youth friendly strategies.The centre is

run by young people and provides an environment where youths share their l
ife experiences; learn life planning skills, access RH services besides holistic development of other skills.
Youth friendly services and behavioural communication and change activities include among others:–
–The Youth Centre Clinic has qualified youth friendly practitioners who are able to meet young people individually and spend time with them. They are able to give information that young people need to make healthy choices and answer any of the young people questions. The Youth Clinic is opened Monday to Friday from 8-5 pm. The services offered include;
: – on sexuality, growing up, relationships, prevention of pregnancies, consequences of unsafe abortion, abstinence, STIs and HIV/AIDS contraception, careers, substance and drug abuse etc.
Peer to Peer Sessions conducted through: - lectures, group discussions, and video
Shows, individual talks, theatre performances and School Clubs

Vocational Training through the Binti Africa Initiative: - An initiative that targets young vulnerable girls and aims at livelihood development through empowering them with vocational skills such as Hairdressing, Fashion and Design among others. The initiative also assists young people start up small business through building their business skills and giving them micro loan.
Capacity building – 0n-going trainings on life planning development, Entrepreneurship Skills and
Participatory educational theatre.
Library, Knowledge and Information Services: - Information access to empower the
youth with current, accurate, timely and credible and authoritative knowledge for quality
health.
Recreational Activities including: - Sports, Dance, Fun and Fitness Gym and DSTV.
