With support from Future Group, Advocacy and Communication department was established to advocate for a strong public, political and financial commitment towards supporting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights at the national and international levels. This entailed recognition of SRHR, including policy and legislation which promotes, respects, protects and fulfils these rights. Various advocacy activities were implemented in collaboration with National Coordinating Agency for Population and Development among other partners. In collaboration with NCAPD, FHOK, under the Kenya Urban Reproductive Health Initiative,

identified potential FP champions and disseminated relevant advocacy kits.  In addition here was active involvement with partners in the context of Reproductive Health and Reproductive Health Alliance (RHRA) towards advancing the cause of reproductive and sexual rights especially on abortion. These activities were aimed at not only raising awareness but also advocating for changes in the restrictive abortion legislation currently existing in Kenya.
